Come “take a walk on the wild side” and learn about all things Monarch! Monarchs are one of the most amazing species of butterflies for so many reasons, including its instinctual thousand-plus mile migration pattern. Doesn’t it make you wonder how the Monarch knows where to go and how it gets there? Do you know how to tell a male butterfly from its female counterpart? Are you interested in learning more about how and why Monarchs are tagged? If you’re curious about the amazing life of the Monarch and other butterfly facts, the Monarch Walk and Talk Series is for you! Join us for our next Monarch Walk and Talk on Friday, August 12 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Guests 12 and up are invited to meet us in the lobby and experience an educational journey on the wings of a Monarch, followed by a visit to the Conservatory where our Monarchs and other butterfly species fly freely. Guests receive a temporary Monarch tattoo to commemorate their visit. This event is FREE for members and a $10 donation to our non-profit Butterfly Wonderland Foundation is requested from the general public, plus the cost of admission.
