Birthday Party Refund Policy: 
If party is cancelled within 3 days of your party, you are responsible for 25% surcharge of full party package. If more than 3 days notice, there will be a cancellation fee charge of $50.00.


Due to the nature of the conservancy, NO OUTSIDE FOOD, ice cream or coolers are allowed to be brought in. Balloons, candles, noise makers, bubbles, alcohol, piñatas or glassware are NOT PERMITTED for the safety of the butterflies, you, your guests and other visitors. Thank you for understanding. Start Planning Today! An anniversary. A youth sports team party. A family reunion. There are many special events in our lives, and they can all be celebrated in uniquely fun fashion at Butterfly Wonderland, home to America’s largest butterfly conservatory.

Venues available for private events are:

  • Our 193-seat state-of-the-art theater is available to reserve for that special occasion, meeting, corporate function or private event.
  • Our café is available for private catered events such as intimate receptions, holiday parties or after-hours events.
  • Our 10,000 square foot Butterfly Conservatory is available seasonally for small intimate weddings, memorial services and other special occasions. (Limited hours available.)

Group Tour rates are available to those in a group of 20 people or larger. Cameras are welcome but tripods are not allowed. Baby strollers may be used in most areas but they are prohibited in the Butterfly Conservatory (only) due to strict regulations.

Field Trips

Butterfly Wonderland is a unique, educational experience for any school group. There is so much to learn about nature that will fit in school lesson plans including the lifecycle of butterflies, desert inhabitants, spineless giants, bees, colorful fish of the Amazon and so much more!

Imagine wandering through a rainforest landscape with running waterfalls, exotic plants and flowers in bloom, and serene koi fish ponds while surrounded by thousands of the most beautiful species of butterflies in the world fluttering all around you.

Before entering the Butterfly Conservatory, students will also enjoy a specially-edited version of the 3D film “Flight of the Butterflies” in our state-of-the-art Theater and then stop at the Chrysalis Emergence Lab. After a visit to the Butterfly Conservatory where students can also visit our Honey Bee Exhibit, students will visit the Spineless Giants exhibit, and then the Rainforest Reptiles and Tropical Waters exhibit before exiting through the Butterfly Treasures gift shop.

Homeschool Days

*Due to large crowds and school bookings, there are no Homeschool Days in March and April.

Our flexibly structured Homeschool Days are designed for families to learn together while exploring Butterfly Wonderland’s exhibits without the crowds of school field trips.

While Butterfly Wonderland will be open to the general public, no classroom- based school trips will be booked during these days. As a homeschool group, a minimum of 10 people is needed to receive special discounted admission. Cost is $9 per student (two and under are free) and $14 per adult plus 7.95% tax. One point person must pay at ticket window on day of tour for group.

The Homeschool Reservation Request Form must be completed; it can be downloaded by clicking the button below. Tours last 1.5 to 2 hours and can be scheduled at 9 a.m., 10 a.m., 11 a.m., Noon, 1 p.m., 2 p.m. or 3 p.m.
