We begin the New Year by honoring our tribal neighbors with Native American Cultural Experience Days Saturday, January 21 and Sunday, January 22. Much of Butterfly Wonderland’s building and design — even our logo — pays homage to the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community’s people and land, in which we are situated. Reverence for the natural world is integral to the culture of the native people and we feel proud to share knowledge of nature with our visitors as well as knowledge of the native cultures. During our Native American Cultural Experience Days, enjoy live music by Aaron White from 11am-3pm, and Native American Storytelling by Anthony Phillips at 11am, noon, 1pm and 2pm. These activities are free with admission.
