Butterfly Wonderland Foundation
“Creating an appreciation of nature through conservation and education of the butterflies and our rainforest.”

Donations made to and fundraiser dollars for The Butterfly Wonderland Foundation focus on a number of opportunities to serve the community and those in need.
Donations to the Foundation are tax deductible.
During the month of December, you can help fund a low-income student’s field trip, by making a donation when you purchase your tickets at the Admission window. Supported by the Butterfly Wonderland Foundation, a 501(c)3 non-profit.

Assisting Title 1 and low-income students in meeting and enhancing their science curriculum, Butterfly Wonderland is able to host thousands of children via school tours which meet Arizona State Standards.
These programs are informative, exploratory and, perhaps most important, fun for children, teachers and our staff as well.
Back to School Drive
The Back to School School Supplies Drive is a yearly event, which results in hundreds of school supplies that the Foundation donates to low-income schools valleywide.
Butterfly Wonderland and its Foundation support conservation efforts globally as well as locally.
Our primary supplier of Central and South American butterfly pupae, El Bosque Nuevo (“New Forest” in Spanish) is just one of several sustainable butterfly farms whose success has resulted in conservation, regeneration, and preservation of precious and delicate indigenous rainforest habitats. The practice of sustainable butterfly farming also provides economic stability for families in these often remote areas of the world.
Funds from Butterfly Wonderland’s unique and educational workshops, like How to Build a Butterfly Garden, Yoga in the Rainforest, and Waking up with the Butterflies as well as its outreach program to schools, contribute to the efforts of the Foundation as well.
Because it is not always possible for schools to visit Butterfly Wonderland for a field trip, the Butterfly Wonderland Foundation brings its fun and educational outreach program to schools. Our presentation will be age-appropriate for the students and focus on tropical butterflies and desert creatures.
Wings of Remembrance
Donations and purchases made through our Wings of Remembrance program, a memorial that honors the loss of loved ones via beautiful and colorful butterflies hung in Butterfly Wonderland’s main foyer, also supports the causes of the Foundation.
