We know you love our 3,000 friendly butterflies — but when is the last time you stopped in to study our underwater friends? Aside from the stingrays in our touch tank, who just love to swim by and get a gentle “touch” from visitors, we have some incredible fish in our Rivers of the Amazon room. Pearl is one of the most interesting of our fish. Pearl, with her stunning iridescent “pearl”-looking scales, is a Gourami. This fresh-water species is native to Asia, but luckily we get to have Pearl live with us at Butterfly Wonderland! Pearl loves visitors, so stop in and see if you can spot her (we know you will!) and the other beautiful swimmers we have here!
