Butterfly Wonderland is Temporarily Closed to Visitors
In response to the ever-changing COVID-19 situation, Butterfly Wonderland has temporarily closed to the public. Butterfly Wonderland will reopen when the situation has improved and it is deemed safe to do so.
Since opening, Butterfly Wonderland has become a favorite destination for many and plays an important role for guests to learn about the rainforest and the fascinating creatures that live there, including the magnificent butterfly. A visit to Butterfly Wonderland presents the perfect opportunity to enjoy rich educational experiences and share time with family and friends. We look forward to reopening at a future date and welcoming visitors back to Butterfly Wonderland.
All pre-purchased, unused admission tickets will be honored for up to one year once Butterfly Wonderland re-opens. There is no need for guests to contact Butterfly Wonderland to change the admission date on their tickets.
Right now, the safety and health of our team members and animals is our principal focus and priority. The welfare and care of all animals will not be compromised, and they will continue to receive 24/7 attention under the watchful eyes of both the animal care and animal health teams. We will continuously look after the health, safety, and nutritional needs of all our beloved animal ambassadors.
Meanwhile, our community is looking for calm in these unsettling times. We hear time and again of the incredibly peaceful effects our butterflies and serene surroundings bring. We also know that families who are spending more time at home are looking for ways to escape back into the fun and educational opportunities Butterfly Wonderland provides. We invite you to stay connected to us as we virtually bring Butterfly Wonderland to the community through “Your Rainforest Adventure…At Home” on our social media channels and website. Look for incredible educational programming and an abundance of photos and videos of our treasured butterflies, insects and reptiles while we ride out this tumultuous unprecedented time together.
And though you and your family may not be able to visit Butterfly Wonderland now, there is a way you can show your support of Butterfly Wonderland during the closure. Consider participating in our 2 Tickets To Go program. With 2 Tickets To Go, guests purchase two General Admission Tickets now that are valid for admission “to go” to Butterfly Wonderland any day after we re-open for up to one year. The purchase of 2 tickets today helps us continue to fulfill our mission to create an appreciation of nature through conservation and education about butterflies and our rainforest. Your support today of Butterfly Wonderland will help us maintain our standards of care for all our species during the mass uncertainty surrounding us all.
Thank you for your support. Stay safe and healthy, and we hope to see you again soon.
