Butterfly Wonderland is a fully wheelchair-accessible facility.
Strollers are allowed throughout the building, WITH THE EXCEPTION OF THE CONSERVATORY, due to fire and USDA code compliance issues. We recommend using backpacks or snugglies for very young children. Thank you for your understanding.
Koi Feedings – 9:30am
Enjoy koi fish feeding in the Conservatory every morning as aquatic experts share their knowledge about this unique and beautiful species. Meet “Hoover”, and the important role he plays in the pond that takes center stage at Butterfly Wonderland’s Conservatory! FREE WITH ADMISSION
Whimsical Wings – 11:00 am in the Conservatory
Join us in Butterfly Conservatory when our Education Specialists share how we release our Tropical Butterflies. Learn about the amazing journey they take to get to us. Watch as new butterflies take their first flight. Feel free to ask questions. Touching the butterflies is not permitted but take as many pictures as you wish. FREE with Admission.
NEW! Stingray & Shark Feedings – 11:00 pm at the Tropical Waters Observation Pool
Learn interesting facts about the venomous round stingrays and Agatha, the horn shark in the Tropical Waters gallery during this educational Aquarist Talk and Live Feeding. Join Sara Donaldson at the Observation Pool as she interacts with these fascinating sea creatures and be sure to take home a free horn shark education card too. FREE WITH ADMISSSION.

BW’s Bug Club (in Theater) – 11:00 am
It’s the coolest club in town—Bug Club!! Little ones will learn about interesting insects at this incredibly engaging and educational story time. After the story, animal experts from Butterfly Wonderland introduce the audience to multiple LIVE insects which not only heightens the coolness-factor but allows an up-close encounter with these captivating creatures which may include walking sticks, beetles, giant African millipede, or an exciting bug even more fascinating! FREE WITH ADMISSION.
3rd Sunday of Each Month
‘The Buzz About Bees’ at 1pm in the Conservatory
Learn about bees, maintaining hives and more from local Beekeeper Cricket Aldridge, founder of AZ Backyard Beekeepers. Visit her in the Conservatory at the Honeybee Exhibit. There will also be a special Q&A. Honey is available for purchase in the Butterfly Treasures Gift Shop. FREE WITH ADMISSION.
