Spring is one of the busiest times of the year for us at Butterfly Wonderland, as we see an abundance of school groups come through, families on spring break and adults in the Valley for Spring Training. As the spring breakers are all back to school (and work!), we wanted to take a moment to reflect on the season. In March 88 groups toured Butterfly Wonderland — 83 school groups and five adult groups, plus five outreach groups. We could not have handled the influx of attendees so smoothly without the professionalism of our staff as well as the assistance of our amazing volunteers.
In March three new volunteers joined us, and overall we had 28 volunteers donate 310 hours of their precious time to making guests’ visits to Butterfly Wonderland that much more enjoyable! We are also grateful to our members and visitors who continue to support our efforts via membership and additional donations. In March, our Adopt a Butterfly program through our non-profit Butterfly Wonderland Foundation raised $801, which will be directly passed along to the Southwest Monarch Study, a local organization that supports conservation and education of the Monarchs. We are proud to have such great staff, pool of volunteers and generous members and guests that make our non-profit efforts and our work here at Butterfly Wonderland such a pleasure! Thank you!
