Our butterflies may rule the daytime, but moths light up our nights! If you’re something of a night owl, your curiosity about moths can be satiated at our Moths of Arizona Workshop on September 15 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. As part of our pollinator speaker series, this event, led by Arizona moth expert Margarethe Brummermann, educates guests about moths’ natural history, their ecological role in nature and their extraordinary beauty! Margarethe will also share tips with guests on the various ways to attract adult moths and how to raise caterpillars. After her presentation, Margarethe will light up the night outside — watch as she sets up a lighted sheet that will attract not only moths but also other desert inhabitants. This workshop is just $15 for members and $20 for the general public. However, space is limited and pre-registration is required so save your spot today by calling 480-800-3000, ext. 210.
