Butterfly Wonderland is a fully wheelchair-accessible facility.
Strollers are allowed throughout the building, WITH THE EXCEPTION OF THE CONSERVATORY, due to fire and USDA code compliance issues. We recommend using backpacks or snugglies for very young children. Thank you for your understanding.

NEW! Fall Story Time and Critter Visit – 10:00am
Join Butterfly Wonderland for a magical adventure this month in the Butterfly Theater! Dive deep into the rainforest with a Butterfly Wonderland’s Story Time session, featuring captivating tales about butterflies and other rainforest critters. Parents and kids will embark on an exciting journey through these lively stories read by dynamic storytellers each week and followed by a visit from Butterfly Wonderland Animal Ambassador Draco, a Chinese Water Dragon. Don’t miss the opportunity to learn about this amazing reptile and see Draco up-close!
Many of the Fall Story Time books are available for purchase in the Butterfly Treasures Gift Shop. All participating children will also receive a FREE nature sticker to take home! Story Time is FREE with admission.

Enjoy koi fish feeding in the Conservatory every morning as aquatic experts share their knowledge about this unique and beautiful species. Meet “Hoover”, and the important role he plays in the pond that takes center stage at Butterfly Wonderland’s Conservatory! FREE WITH ADMISSION

Whimsical Wings – 3:00 pm in the Conservatory
Step into a realm of wonder as Butterfly Wonderland’s Education Specialists release exquisite tropical butterflies into the Conservatory. Capture the enchanting moment with on camera as these graceful insects take their inaugural flight. Feel free to engage with the specialists, asking any questions that may pique curiosity. This captivating event is included FREE WITH ADMISSION.

Stingray & Shark Feedings – 1:00 pm at the Tropical Waters Observation Pool
Dive into the captivating world of marine life with an educational Aquarist Talk and Live Feeding in the Tropical Waters gallery. Join Sara Donaldson at the Observation Pool as she unveils intriguing insights into venomous round stingrays and introduces guests to Agatha, the horn shark. Enjoy this interactive experience and take home a complimentary horn shark education card. This rare opportunity is FREE WITH ADMISSION.

Ignite curiosity in the kiddos with an engaging story time and educational session focused on fascinating insects. Butterfly Wonderland experts and animal curators will lead this captivating experience, where the little ones can learn about these incredible creatures up close. After storytime, meet LIVE insects, from walking sticks and beetles to giant African millipedes and even more intriguing species! This event is FREE with admission.

‘The Buzz About Bees’ at 1pm in the Conservatory
Get ready for an un-BEE-lievable experience! Join local beekeeper and AZ Backyard Beekeepers founder, Cricket Aldridge, as she unveils the secrets of bees, hive maintenance, and more. Meet Cricket at the newly enhanced Honeybee exhibit in the Conservatory and engage in an insightful Q&A session after her presentation. Don’t miss the chance to purchase local honey from the Butterfly Treasures Gift Shop. This enlightening event is included FREE WITH ADMISSION.
