Spring Butterfly Hike to Rackensack Wash (4/19)

Join Butterfly Wonderland’s Director of Education, Adriane Hopkins, on a special butterfly inspired hike to Rackensak Wash to look for the amazing Yucca Giant-Skipper, the Sara Orangetip and other native butterflies. Participants are asked to wear good hiking shoes, a hat, and bring binoculars, water, and snacks/lunch. Hike difficulty: moderate (no real trails, rocky creek bed). Limit 15 people. Cost is $5 per person.

Butterfly Walk @ Boyce Thompson Arboretum (4/26)

Explore the fascinating world of butterflies in their natural habitat with a captivating Butterfly Walk through the stunning landscapes of Boyce Thompson Arboretum! Led by Adriane Hopkins, butterfly expert from the Central Arizona Butterfly Association and Director of Education at Butterfly Wonderland, this guided experience will introduce you to the diverse butterfly species commonly found in Central Arizona. Learn to identify these delicate pollinators and discover the essential host plants that support their life cycle.

Waking Up with Butterflies

Step into a tranquil morning at Butterfly Wonderland, where photographers (18+) can capture breathtaking images of butterflies, birds, and reptiles in their lush rainforest habitat. With special access before the doors open to the public, this rare opportunity offers perfect lighting and peaceful surroundings for stunning shots. Director of Animal Care & Entomologist Derek Kellogg will be available to share expert insights and answer questions about butterflies, plants, and the intricate rainforest ecosystem. A must-attend experience for nature and photography enthusiasts alike!

Yoga in the Rainforest

Open to ages 18 & up, this unique experience offers the perfect blend of mindfulness and natural beauty.
